Seeking Full-Time Superintendent

    Trimak Building Services is a privately owned and operated, construction firm that specializes in multi-family and senior living facilities projects within Indiana and Mid-West areas. We are seeking a superintendent to run/coordinate commercial construction projects. We are looking for an ambitious individual that is hard working, detailed oriented and has a desire to grow.

   

        Responsibilities of this position

• Coordinate the scheduling of subcontractors, consultants, inspectors, and vendors to complete each project under the scheduled time.

• Schedule and run weekly production meetings.

• Maintain and update weekly, the projects schedule. notify all subcontractors and project team members of the schedule changes or delays.

• Produce and maintain detailed daily logs, RFI's and change orders.

• Monitor production and materials to ensure quality control standards are met at various stages of the project.

• Identify and resolve problems/conflicts, organizing meetings and cooperating with team members in various roles as necessary.

• Assume overall responsbility for maintaining a clean and safe project site.

             

          Qualifications for Construction Superintendent 

• Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of construction.

• Ability to write reports/emails in a professional manor to correspond with owners, project team, subcontractors, and vendors.

• Experience in Microsoft-  Word, Excel, and Project.

• Familiarity and ability to read project plans and other construction documents.

• Good reading comprehension for technical documents such as safety regulations, assembly/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

• Keep eye to identify non-compliance with regulations or standards and ability to suggest solutions for deficiencies or problems.

• Experience with managing demanding clients and offering creative solutions to meet commitments and request. 

• Ability to stand for several hours at a time and to walk in varying climate conditions and on uneven ground.

• Capacity to physically lift up to 60 lbs.
